The Hail Varsity Yearbook is always something of a special project. It’s designed to be lived with for a while. It’s the only issue we do that is on newsstands for six months and that comes with a responsibility. We try to make every issue a timeless marker of Husker history, but that task is never more obvious and essential than with the Yearbook, our premier publication each year. The features have to be engaging and unique. The analysis has to be something more than what you’ll find everywhere else. The visuals have to dazzle because, if we’ve achieved our task, you’ll be looking at them often in the months ahead.
The Hail Varsity 2019 Husker Football Yearbook is, in my opinion, our best realization of all of those goals to date. It’s also the 100th issue we’ve done since starting Hail Varsity, making this one a little extra special to us. I think you’ll be able to see that passion when you page through the magazine.
It should feel pretty familiar. The passion of Nebraska fans is how we got from issue one to 100. You keep having a passion for the Huskers, and we’ll keep trying to match it. ––Brandon Vogel, managing editor
